1829 LM-9 R4 Capped Bust Half Dime PCGS AU50, ex. 1979 FUN sale

A wonderfully original, very pleasing, magnificently preserved example of this better die variety, that rested in one collection from Jan 1979 until we bought it and sent it to PCGS a few months ago. The only issue is a dull, old contact mark across the eagle's neck, which blends in a little bit. But I know what you're thinking...there are streaks! Trust me...the streaks are inconsequential. First, they are natural, as-made planchet streaks, and second - it's the darnedest thing - you really can't see them in hand, naked eye. When you do see them with a glass, they are much less impactful than our pics would indicate. My honest assessment is, they are a non factor.
