1831 O.109 Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS MS62
From the Montross Collection, a fabulous and quite comprehensive collection of lettered edge half dollars, 1794 thru 1836. Formed by an experienced, demanding numismatist over many years, this collection focuses on quality and grade, with virtually every one of the 550 or so coins being certified by PCGS or NGC, many of the Capped Bust being AU58. There is literally something for everyone! Here is one of the relatively few Capped Bust halves from this collection that is not AU58. This coin is medallically struck, truly uncirculated and has full cartwheel luster. The golden gray toning is appealing and gives the coin great eye appeal.
