A very pleasing, nearly issue-free example of this common variety, in a very popular series. There is some typically-seen planchet roughness at the centers, which is not so much about the planchet itself, but more about the central strike, which was not strong enough to strike out the roughness that was already there. The rest of the planchet was likely just as rough, but that was smoothed during the striking process. It should be noted that most of the 64-t’s show this characteristic. In addition, a small pit is found at the plow handles just where the mane meets them. In all other respects, this is a wonderful example, and will make a great type coin.
