Description

A charming, totally pleasing, original example of this very scarce, slightly odd variety. There are a few scattered, ancient, dull marks, the worst of which is crosses C in CENT, but everything else about this coin is exceptional. The planchet is smooth, the color is a a beautiful medium chocolate, there is no verdigris, no rim nicks, and no real distractions. The strike is bold and perfectly balanced. There are hints of actual luster, and the eye appeal is outstanding.
