1809 JR-1 Capped Bust Dime, PCGS XF40 CAC

Description

CAC approved.  This is a lovely, dark and somewhat crusty, incredibly well preserved, original 1809 dime.  There are no problems, issues or distractions,  The strike is bold and even, with all areas well defined.  Even the die state is early, with the reverse die fully intact.  If you are looking for a choice XF, CAC approved 1809 dime, I would strongly suggest your search might well end right here.  After all, there are only 9 XF CAC’s combined.  You think VF’s are easier?  Think again.  8 combined.  Surely, if you’ve got the budget, AU’s are around…nope.  Only 4 of them.  This coin is tough, my friend.  Finally, as has become typical, the PCGS True View is simply horrible, if not worse.
