CAC Grading. Quite honestly, I’ve been involved in Capped Bust half dollars – as a specialty – since 1984. 40 years. This coin is among the most pleasing, prettiest and heartwarming AU55’s I’ve ever seen. The coin is a tiny bit lighter than our pics show, yet a tiny bit darker than the CACG pics…and what you really don’t see in either is the magnificent, very subtle iridescent blue and gold antique patina. This coin would be a perfect example for any very carefully curated collection, be it Type, Date, Redbook or die variety.
