CAC approved. This is the Noyes N.2, which is known far and wide in Large cent circles as the Small Overdate. In spite of PCGS’ confusion, the correct PCGS Coin number appears to be 1612. In any event, if you need the Large Overdate for your collection, please look elsewhere for an N.1 die variety (which, if correctly ID’d by PCGS, would be Coin #1603). This coin is a remarkable survivor…completely intact and as-found. Is it perfect? Nope. It is totally original, actually uncirculated, richly lustrous and a joy to behold? You bet it is!
