1822 JR-1 Capped Bust Dime PCGS AU58

Description

PCGS reports 6 grading events at 58, but in the modern era, only the Eliasberg 58 has appeared at auction (2017). I suspect there may not be 6 actual coins. This one is lovely. Flashy, fully lustrous, lightly toned and very well-struck. The coin’s eye appeal is wonderful. I handled the most recent PCGS AU55 to sell at auction (Heritage, Jan 2012), and this coin is head and shoulders better than that one.
