1824/2 JR-1 Capped Bust Dime, PCGS XF45 CAC

Description

CAC approved.  A tough date, and if you happen to be working on an XF/CAC date or die variety set, then this coin is as tough as it gets.  This is the ONLY CAC approved or graded XF 1824/2 dime.  No XF40’s.  For what it’s worth, there are no AU50’s either.  It helps that this is a truly outstanding, original, problem-free coin with a rich, antique golden gray patina that is alive with soft underlying luster.  The surfaces are baby’s bottom smooth, the strike is typically a bit blunt but very well balanced, and the eye appeal is top-notch.  My price is a little salty I know, but I have to consider replacement cost…and you’ll have the only replacement.
