Description
An ancient scratch from Liberty’s eye-to-ear is accentuated about as much as is possible by our picture. In hand, it really is a non-factor…to me. Your sensibility and sensitivity may well be different. What I see is a magnificent, drop-dead original coin, bathed in a rich, deep antique golden gray patina, with hints of luster lurking and magnificent eye appeal…that is sort of hiding an ancient scratch. This is Die State 108.2, per the BHNC’s new die state handbook, “Die State Progressions of the Capped Bust Half Dollar Die Varieties 1807-1836”, which is a very modest cost item, available right here on our website.
