CAC approved. An original, slightly crusty coin that is free of even trivial issues, and truly appealing. Not well noted in the literature is the second S in STATES (S2), which is clearly punched over a smaller version of that letter…perhaps a punch meant for a quarter. I cannot think of another similar situation in the Capped Bust half dollar series!
