1872-S Liberty Seated Quarter, NGC AG3 CAC

CAC approved.  There are so many tough Seated quarters, especially among the late dates, but there is something special to me about the 72-S.  And CAC approved 72-S?  C’mon.  There are a total of 10 – 9 stickers and 1 holder.  The only other regular issue that is close, happens to be tied, and that is the 71-CC, where we find 10 stickers.  The 73-CC No Arrows, of which 5 are known, shows 1 sticker, but I’m gonna say that doesn’t really count.  So, 72-S is tied for the lowest CAC pop in the series.  There are 2 at this grade level and none lower, so affordability is key.  And quality.  This coin is absolutely choice.  If you’ve got this hole to fill, and you want to fill it with a nice coin, or you want to improve a higher detail coin with a higher quality coin, here is an opportunity that doesn’t come along often.
