Description
This lovely coin would have been called DMPL 10/10 times a generation ago, or maybe even fewer years ago than that! When I was a kid, this thing was deep mirror all day long. But these days, as the rules get tighter and tighter, it is only PL. But I promise you: You will see it think to yourself (just as I did – and everybody else who sees it will – “man, this can’t be far from DMPL”). Indeed. I think these fields are the deepest, cleanest, clearest (for the grade, of course) that I have seen called PL. Contrast is good. The coin is about 80-85% fully white, with a splash of golden amber at the top of the obverse, and a bare hint on the cheek. I called it PL+, but PL+++ might be a more apt description. Quite a 63PL in any case!
