1886-O Morgan Dollar, PCGS AU58

Description

From the same old-time group as the 1878-CC in PCGS AU50 I just posted, the originality of these coins is stunning.  It is such a pleasure to look at a better date Morgan like this – an absolutely original coin with just a tiny hint of rub on the high points only – and see it an entirely natural, un-messed with state.  The financial motivation has always been to “shine it up” and pass it off as an Unc, but – with true amazement – that has never happened in this case.
