Description
CAC approved. I see the exact amount of rub on this coin as I would expect to see on an SLQ in virtually an brand of 61 or even 62 holder. Is there a minute amount of friction on a few high spots? Yes. Is there – generally – a minute amount of friction on those same high spots on coins in 61 and even 62 holders? The honest answer is…yes. Anyway, the luster here is full and the coin looks like a really nice Unc at a glance. It isn’t truly unc, but it looks better than most 58’s, many 61’s (since they tend to be rather lackluster and marky), and quite a few 62’s (for the same reasons). This is a great example of why 58 is such a fabulous grade to collect. The problem is, many coins in 58 holders are really 55’s or even 53’s. This is a real 58, though I cannot fathom how it didn’t grade 58+. Never fear though, it’s priced like one!
